Scope of Warranty

ADV Trading Pty Ltd T/As NT Trailers & Campers (“NT Trailers”, “we”, “us”) warrants that each new NT Trailers‐branded trailer is free from defects in materials and workmanship in its structural components under normal, recommended use and service for the period set out in Section 2. All other parts and accessories are subject to the exclusions in Section 3 and the limitations in Section 6.

Items Not Covered (Consumable & Wear Parts)

The following consumable or wear items are not covered except where Australian Consumer Law (ACL) guarantees apply:

  • Tyres, tubes & valves

  • Wheels and cosmetic wheel trims

  • Wheel bearings, seals & hub components

  • Brake shoes, pads, drums, rotors, cables and hydraulic fluid

  • Springs, shock absorbers & bushes

  • Jockey wheels, landing legs & support stands

  • Couplings, safety chains & shackles

  • Electrical bulbs, lenses & wiring looms

  • Paint, powder‑coat, decals and other finishes subject to normal wear, stone‑chipping, fading or corrosion

Warranty Exclusions & Void Conditions

This warranty does not apply (and will become void) where any defect or damage is caused or contributed to by:

  1. Accident, collision, fire, flood, hail, salt‑spray or other external influences.

  2. Misuse, abuse, overloading, incorrect weight distribution, or towing beyond the trailer’s rated GVM or design limits.

  3. Failure to follow the Inspection & Maintenance Schedule in Section 5 or to complete the initial service recommended within 500 km or 30 days (whichever comes first).

  4. Modifications, additions, drilling or welding not authorised in writing by NT Trailers.

  5. Use of the trailer in commercial hire, off‑road, mining or agricultural environments (unless declared at purchase and covered under Section 2 Commercial warranty).

  6. Continued operation of the trailer after a defect becomes apparent.

  7. Repairs, service or disassembly performed by any person other than NT Trailers or an authorised NT Trailers repairer.

Owner Inspection & Maintenance Schedule

Before First Use (Pickup + within 7 days):

Ongoing:

Every 100 km

Re‑check wheel‑nut torque

Weekly

Clean trailer and perform full inspection (wash, remove debris, check for damage or corrosion)

Every 1,000 km or 3 months

Grease wheel hubs & suspension pivots

Every 6 months

Inspect brake linings, cables & adjust as required

Annually

Check chassis & draw‑bar for corrosion, cracks or fatigue

Records of maintenance (dated & signed) should be kept; NT Trailers may request them when assessing any warranty claim.

Making a Warranty Claim

  1. Notify us in writing within 7 days

    of first becoming aware of the defect and within the warranty period.

  2. Supply:

    (a) copy of the tax invoice, (b) photographs/video of the defect, (c) all maintenance records, to warranty@nttrailers.com.au

  3. Return the trailer

    to our Molendinar (QLD) facility, or to another location nominated by NT Trailers, at your cost and risk. NT Trailers does not accept responsibility for freight, towing, travel, accommodation, loss of income, downtime or any incidental costs.

  4. NT Trailers will inspect the trailer within a reasonable time. If the defect is covered, we will repair or replace the defective component at our discretion. Repaired or replacement parts are warranted for the balance of the original warranty period only.

  5. If the claim is rejected, we will provide a written explanation. You may request an independent inspection at your own expense.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any rights you have under the ACL or any other applicable legislation. Where a conflict exists, the ACL will prevail.
